A group of unpublished and published writers who meet monthly to learn new skills and have fun.
About us:
We are a small friendly group who write in all genres. We meet at Wombourne library on the first Wednesday each month at 7.15pm. First meeting is free, afterwards membership is £1 per month.

December /Jan homework
Next meeting on 4th December is the Christmas Party. Please bring a short printed quote or piece of writing - small enough to be fixed to a Christmas bauble, a wrapped pre-loved book to exchange, a hat decorated with a literary theme, your food contribution and a Christmassy/seasonal literary contribution - this can be a piece of writing, rewritten carol, riddle, short story or poem or even a favourite piece by someone else.
The January meeting will be on Wednesday 8th January - homework is to write a short story (500-1000) words or poem or short play/scene taking a minor character from a well known book/play or TV/Film and giving them their own story with them now as a main character. Anyone who missed the workshop and who wants the handout can email Helen and she will email it out to you!

Homework for November meeting
November meeting will be the AGM, all members please try to attend for 7pm. The AGM will be followed by a workshop from author Nell Dixon on characters. In preparation for the workshop please look at a book you have enjoyed and decide who the main, secondary and minor charaters were and what role they played in the story. Bring the book and be prepared to explain your choices at the workshop meeting!

Homework for July
Write a short (500) word max play/story/poem/1st Chapter in the Spy/Thriller genre.
Also, the group is asked to think of dates they would be available in September as we plan to go out for a meal together and write a restaurant review as our exercise.

May Song lyrics - you can invent a tune or use a popular tune - write lyrics with a social concious or a protest. You can bring along an example of a song that inspired you.
